Physical Geography
Bolivia is about the same size as California and Texas combine. It borders Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Peru. There are no oceans touching Bolivia, meaning it is landlocked. On the west side of Bolivia, there are rugged mountains with snow capped peaks. To the east are highland plateaus, hills, and lowland plains of the Amazon Basin. The climate varies with the altitude. High up, it is cold and semi-arid. In the lower region however, it is tropical and humid.
